The first charitable foundation in Ukraine, founded by doctors from two leading state cardiac surgery centers. Since November 2012, we have been helping children with congenital heart defects.
Doctors who couldn't stay on the sidelines
Charitable Foundation “Future Hearts” is a non‑governmental non‑profit organization founded in November 2012 by doctors from leading cardiac surgery clinics in Kyiv. The foundation’s mission is to help patients with congenital heart defects.
Each year in Ukraine, about 4,000 children are born with congenital heart defects. Parents, upon learning the diagnosis, often don’t know what to do next. But there is a solution: in most cases these are endovascular procedures, after which the little ones return to a normal life and are indistinguishable from their peers.
But the high cost of implants is unaffordable for the overwhelming majority of Ukrainian families. State programs do exist, yet they are insufficient for everyone, and long waiting lists mean a loss of precious time.
Thus, cardiac surgeons from leading Kyiv clinics united and founded a foundation — to give every child who needs help a chance for a happy and healthy childhood. After all, it’s not said without reason: There are no strangers' children!
4 000 children each year
So many little ones are born in Ukraine with congenital heart defects. Many of them need surgery that their families cannot afford to fund on their own.
Endovascular surgeries
Without opening the chest: the occluder or stent is delivered to the heart through a thin catheter in the vessel. No scar, with recovery in just a few days.
Transparency and Targeted Approach
Each fundraising effort is for a specific child with a specific diagnosis. The foundation reports on every medical technology it purchases.

Graduated from the National Medical University named after Bogomolets, completed training at the Silesian Center of the Heart (Zabrze, Poland) with Professor Yacek Bialkovskyi and at Rush Clinic (Chicago, USA) with Professor Ziyad Khidjazi. Member of the European Association of Pediatric Cardiologists.
