“Future Hearts” — help for children with congenital heart defects.
Purchasing implants (occluders, stents, coils) for endovascular surgery for children with congenital heart defects.
Every year about 3,500 children in Ukraine need heart surgery. Most of them can be helped by an endovascular procedure: the implant is delivered to the heart through a thin catheter in a blood vessel, without opening the chest.
Implants are expensive, and state programmes cannot cover everyone. The foundation spends all funds raised on implants for specific children and reports on every purchase.
The programme is the core of the foundation's statutory activity and runs indefinitely, with no end date for the fundraiser.
The amount needed depends on how many children are waiting for surgery and on the cost of their implants.
Funds are used in accordance with the Law of Ukraine “On Charitable Activities and Charitable Organisations” for targeted help to children with heart defects.
If help for a specific child is not provided, or more is raised than needed, the balance goes to help other children within this programme and the foundation's charter.
By making a donation, the donor agrees that the donation is voluntary and non-refundable. The donor also agrees that the funds may be reallocated and used for other charitable programmes of the foundation in accordance with its charter, in particular if the fundraiser for a specific child has closed or is no longer relevant.
