At the most recent medical examination that Natasha underwent at the Amosov National Institute of Cardiovascular Surgery, doctors observed that over the past two years the child's right heart chambers have enlarged significantly, which could later lead to heart failure. The doctors advised the parents to arrange an endovascular intervention to close the defect as soon as possible. Since the child is already 11 years old, she is in a risk zone. The surgery itself is performed free of charge, but the occluder (intracardiac implant) used to close the heart defect costs 44 940 UAH.

With the help of relatives and close ones, the family collected 10 000 UAH and borrowed 20 000 UAH. Even this amount was not enough for the implant. The family could not raise the remaining sum on its own. Because neither mother nor father has an official permanent job, the family moved two years ago to the city of Brovary. Mother turned to the Future Hearts charity foundation for assistance, asking us to help raise the needed amount of 14 940 UAH. She explained that Natasha was doing ballet dancing before the diagnosis and basketball at school; when the diagnosis was confirmed, she was forbidden to dance and play (even to attend physical‑education classes). Natalochka was very upset when she learned she could no longer pursue her beloved activities. Mother earnestly asked us to help make her beloved daughter’s dream come true, so she could, like all children, dance, jump, play basketball, etc. In turn, we promised to do everything in our power to help Natasha.

After the successful “Children of the World” campaign together with SC Johnson and Watsons, which purchased three intracardiac implants and saved three lives, SC Johnson could not remain indifferent to children with congenital heart defects and offered its help to the families who turned to the Future Hearts Charity Foundation to raise the necessary amount for the purchase of occluders (intracardiac implants). At that moment the foundation had five children: Sofia Melnyk – 5 years, Svystun Polina – 2 years 7 months, Maylatova Natasha – 8 years, Perevoznyk Yana – 17 years, among them was also Natasha Zavialova – 11 years.

SC Johnson added the missing amount of 14 940 UAH for the purchase of an implant. On 13.06.14, the Future Hearts Charity Foundation purchased an occluder for Natasha. On 17.06.14 at the Amosov National Institute of Cardiovascular Surgery, a successful operation to close a congenital heart defect – a secondary defect of the atrial septum in Natasha Zavialova – was performed. On 19.06.14, before Natalochka’s discharge, representatives of SC Johnson and the Future Hearts Charity Foundation visited the girl, spoke with her mother, and confirmed that Natasha feels well and is being discharged from the hospital completely healthy. As a token of gratitude to SC Johnson and the Future Hearts Charity Foundation, Natasha gave her drawings. Thanks to SC Johnson, Natasha’s and her family’s dream of being healthy came true!
