Arsen Simulik's heart has been saved

Arsenchyk is two and a half years old, and since birth the baby has been ill and gaining weight poorly. In the summer of last year his parents turned to a private clinic in Mukachevo after learning that specialists from the state institution Amosov National Institute of Cardiovascular Surgery would be coming there. It was then that a heart defect was discovered in Arsenchyk. The doctors prescribed medication and advised a follow‑up examination in six months. At the six‑month check‑up the physicians noted only an enlargement of the opening in his heart. Consequently, they decided that delaying surgery was not an option.

The family lives in a village, has no significant assets and cannot afford a heart implant to save their little son's life. So the parents turned to all the caring people, asking for help to raise funds. And the kindest people in the world – the benefactors of the dobro.ua platform – gathered the entire amount needed for the heart implant in just a few days.
