Viori Popovych's heart has been saved

Vioryka Popovych from the Vinnytsia region was born in 2023. And already from the first months of her life it became clear that this little girl would face a challenging road ahead.

When Viorytsi was only two months old, doctors discovered she had a congenital heart defect—a patent ductus arteriosus. Since then she has been under constant specialist supervision, and the family lived from one examination to the next, anxiously awaiting news and hoping they could help the child in time.

In 2025, after a routine examination, doctors confirmed that surgery was necessary. Without surgical intervention, Vioryka's condition could worsen and eventually lead to serious complications. For a small child, this means not just a medical diagnosis, but a real threat to normal development, well‑being, and the future.

Paying for such treatment on their own was beyond the family's means. The family has four children, the father works, and they could not raise the funds for the necessary occluder costing 116 202 UAH on their own.

Thanks to the support of donors, assistance for Vioryka became possible. At the Amosov National Institute of Cardiovascular Surgery, the girl underwent the necessary operation, and the required occluder was purchased through the combined efforts of caring people.
