Stanislav Habrus's heart has been saved

Even during pregnancy, the expectant mother was warned about a frightening diagnosis for her child—a congenital heart defect, Tetralogy of Fallot. The first operation that saved Stasik’s life was performed in 2015 at the Amosov National Institute of Cardiovascular Surgery. Over the years, the boy has undergone examinations both in his hometown and at the Amosov Institute.

Despite his congenital heart defect, the boy is a cheerful and lively little one. Stasik has finished first grade, studies very well, and has many friends. The family is very proud of their little genius.

After a routine check‑up, the boy and his mother were sent to the Kyiv Amosov National Institute of Cardiovascular Surgery. There, the qualified doctors delivered frightening news: Stanislav has pulmonary insufficiency after Tetralogy of Fallot, and surgery cannot be postponed—it needs to be done right away. The heart defect is extremely dangerous, and even thinking about the terrible consequences was terrifying. To perform the operation, a cardiac implant had to be purchased, which cost an overwhelmingly large sum for an ordinary family.

Having turned to our charitable foundation, we didn’t think twice and decided to put all our effort into helping the child. Published on the dobro.ua platform, it gathered the maximum number of donors who joined the fundraiser! 570 caring people made contributions starting from 1 UAH! A total of 300 000 UAH was collected.

Among the donors is the family of a child our charity foundation once helped. After seeing Stas’s story, they couldn’t stand by and contributed almost six thousand UAH from their family budget to save the boy. It’s a true cycle of goodness!

Our philanthropist Yanochka Fedynets also joined the fundraising project, organized a charitable event, an amazing children’s celebration, and together with like‑minded people and benefactors raised 33 000 UAH for Stas’s project.

The complex surgery was performed by specialists at the Amosov National Institute of Cardiovascular Surgery, and now Stanislav feels wonderful! We believe and wish great happiness and health to the boy and his whole family!
