Denys Kovryzhchenko's rescued heart

Just recently we asked for your help for a boy with a difficult story. Denys KovryzhEnko was born with a rare heart defect – Tetralogy of Fallot. His little heart needed an urgent replacement of an implant to keep beating and give him life. The situation was critical, and only an endovascular operation to install a new cardiac implant – a conduit – could save Denys. The doctors at the Amosov National Institute of Cardiovascular Surgery agreed to perform the operation free of charge, but unfortunately the family did not have funds for the implant.

Thanks to your support we were able to raise the necessary funds! The operation was performed by outstanding specialists – Academician V. V. Lazoryshynets, director of the Amosov National Institute of Cardiovascular Surgery, and Ya. P. Truba, head of the department of surgical treatment of congenital heart defects in newborns and younger children.

Now Denys is growing and returning to a happy childhood that you helped him preserve. Sincere thanks to everyone who joined, supported, spread the word, and believed in the importance of this fundraiser on dobro.ua. Every contribution became an integral part of the story of saving Denys’s heart. Thank you for your generosity and the openness of your hearts.
