The best birthday gift! The story of a rescued little heart of Andriika from the Ivano-Frankivsk region. Their destinies crossed immediately for two opposite reasons – happiness and grief. For adult Ruslan – a birthday. For 2,5‑year‑old Andriika – a sick heart.

Ruslan Kramarenko celebrated his birthday on October 2 and gave a gift not to himself but to a boy who needed help. Andriy Savik is now 2 years and 5 months old. The little one lives with his family in the Ivano‑Frankivsk region, Tysmenytsia district, village Chornoliztsi. Andriy was born with a congenital heart defect—a defect of the atrial septum and secondary tricuspid insufficiency—that could have been treated, but the rescue cost was beyond his parents’ means. Fortunately, miracles do happen in this world. And Ruslan decided to ask all his friends and acquaintances to especially wish him a happy holiday.

UAH 89 880 – the price of the implant for the operation and one day for greetings. Yesterday the operation was successful, although it was difficult, according to the treating doctor Bohdan Cherpak. All is behind: fears, illnesses, sleepless nights of Mom, tears. Already tomorrow Andriika is going home, where family awaits him and a great chance for the future.
