Thanks to the birthday of our friend and benefactor Pavel Kazaryn, 2 lives were saved ❤️

As part of the project Change the World. Give Yours. on the Ukrainian Charity Exchange platform, Pavlo invited all his friends and loved ones to celebrate his birthday with a special benefit. Artemchyk had surgery last week. Yesterday, Polinochka had surgery!

Polina Petrovska lives in the town of Blahovishchenske in the Kirovohrad region. She is six years old. Polinka was born a healthy child—at least, that’s what her mother believed until she fell seriously ill with an upper respiratory infection and a radiologist advised her to see a cardio specialist. Her mother was told that Polina’s heart was significantly enlarged. The ground seemed to slip out from under the mother’s feet. Mother and daughter quickly went to a doctor for an ultrasound, which revealed the cause of her constant illnesses and poor well‑being—Polina was diagnosed with a congenital heart defect (patent foramen ovale). After that, they traveled to Kyiv to the Amosov National Institute of Cardiovascular Surgery for confirmation of the diagnosis. Surgery needed to be performed immediately. However, the single mother, who raises two daughters on her own, simply did not have the funds to purchase the necessary heart implant.

But in our stories there is always light and a place for a fairy tale.

Thanks to Pavlo and his friends, the trouble is already behind us today. Today we can wish Polina an active, genuine childhood ️
