Nechipurenko Sashko

The four‑year‑old Sasha urgently needs an operation to implant an intracardiac device (occluder) because he has a congenital heart defect – an open arterial duct. Sasha needs an intracardiac implant that will make the boy’s heart completely healthy. But for his single mother, the sum of 78 110 UAH is unaffordable. Let’s help the four‑year‑old Sasha have a healthy heart!

The child gets sick with colds very often and continues to cough even after treatment. This heart defect was discovered by chance; the child's frequent ARVI and ARD episodes prompted his mother, Sashka, to bring him for an examination in Kyiv at the Amosov National Institute of Cardiovascular Surgery. After a thorough assessment, the doctors confirmed the diagnosis and explained that, unfortunately, without surgical intervention the defect will not close on its own and will only get larger, which could later lead to heart failure in the child.

The Nechipurenko family are displaced persons from Crimea. They have no own housing. They moved to the Poltava region and are renting a house. The mother raises Sashka alone, as she has the status of a single mother. As IDPs they receive a monthly state assistance of 300 UAH. Sashka’s mother works as a cashier in a store and earns a salary of 5 100 UAH per month. Buying an intracardiac implant with such a salary is simply impossible. With the help of acquaintances the family managed to collect 12 000 UAH, but the remaining (66 110 UAH) the mother cannot gather on her own. Therefore she appeals to all caring people to help save the heart of her only beloved son.

Sashko is a cheerful and smart boy. He loves playing with his peers and wants to do sports, but his health condition forbids it. Sashko dreams of attending sports clubs. Let’s help Sashko’s dream come true together.

As part of the charitable campaign of the restaurant Panna Pasticceria “Little Hearts Panna Pasticceria”, funds are also being raised for the project to help Sashko.
