A girl named Angelina is waiting for our help; she has a congenital heart defect. Angelina was born a healthy baby, but after a routine examination at the hospital doctors discovered an open arterial duct, and she now urgently needs surgery to correct the heart defect. The operation using a cardiac implant is performed free of charge at the Amosov National Institute of Cardiovascular Surgery, but the implant itself must be purchased, and the parents simply do not have the funds. Constant fatigue, Angelina’s illnesses, and lack of activity forced her parents to travel with their daughter for an examination. Thanks to the doctors, a hidden condition was discovered—a heart defect (open arterial duct). This defect lives very quietly in the heart and adversely affects the whole body, weakening the immune system and constantly causing illnesses and great stress. The child is constantly tired even in the morning and cannot play with peers. Angelina’s father and little sister have disabilities. The family’s money is enough only for life in the village. Raising funds for a heart implant that costs almost 80 000 UAH is simply impossible and there is no time. Therefore, the family is appealing to all donors of UBB to help save their daughter’s life.
