Vladyslavchyk is a very sweet and sincere little boy; up to eight years old, as the doctors said, he was a completely healthy child. In September 2015 his mother underwent a very complex heart surgery, with a thoracic incision, cardiac arrest, and a long and difficult rehabilitation. Going for a scheduled postoperative check at the Amosov National Institute of Cardiovascular Surgery, the mother took her son with her because the boy had started complaining of chest pain. After the examination, the mother’s fears were confirmed – the child was found to have a congenital heart defect – a secondary defect of the interatrial septum.

Vladyslav needs an intracardiac implant because the size of the hole has become too large – the defect must be closed with an occluder urgently; if it isn’t done in time, they will no longer be able to close the defect by an endovascular method. His mother, who underwent an open‑heart surgery, pleads for help – to save the heart of her beloved little son! She cannot afford to buy the implant; all the savings she had were spent on her own surgery and rehabilitation. She has a group‑3 disability, and Vladyslav’s father was killed in the ATO. Let’s join together to help this boy stay healthy! The family also has another child; the mother is on maternity leave caring for the second child.

Vlydislavchyk studies very well at school, dreaming of becoming a police officer to protect us all. He really wants to take up swimming and boxing, but unfortunately, for now it remains just a dream.
