Demchenko Vladyslav

Parents of Demchenko Vladyslav Serhiyovych, born in 2003, residing in Dnipropetrovsk region, town of Podhorodnyi, approached the State Institution of the National Pediatric Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery Center of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine with the child's preliminary diagnosis: congenital heart defect.

During the examination, an 11 mm interatrial septal defect was detected, and endovascular closure was recommended. Since the child's parents had no funds to purchase the implant and the operation was absolutely necessary, they turned to the Future Hearts charity foundation for help. For the operation, the foundation provided the occluder and the delivery system.

On 15.04.13 at NPM TDKK building No. 2 (Melnykova, 24), surgeons Kuzmenko Yu. L. and Maksymenko A. V. successfully corrected the heart defect, and on 17.04.13 Vladika was discharged home as a healthy child.
