Bondar Mykyta

As part of the project Change the World. Give Yours., the PR manager of the Ukrainian Charity Exchange – Darina Pylypchuk, was raising funds to purchase a heart implant for our ward Platosha Klochko. Darina gave up birthday gifts and called on all her friends and acquaintances to support the boy’s project. The money was successfully collected within a few days. However, during the routine pre‑operative examination it turned out that the duct in Platosha had become very small. Such a tiny opening does not affect the heart’s function and does not threaten the child’s life or health. Placing an intracardiac implant in this case would pose a greater risk to his health. In other words, Platosha’s operation was no longer needed! And that’s a true miracle.

We gave a heart implant to another one of our wards – Mykyta Bondar ❤️

Bondar Nikiti is 8 years old and he had a congenital heart defect (open arterial duct). All this time Mykyta underwent examinations at the Mykolaiv Regional Hospital hoping the defect would disappear, but with each passing year there was no improvement. Since the child is growing and even larger problems could arise in the future, a decision was made to correct it urgently.

And when one door closes, another opens right away.

Thanks to the magic that happened with Platosha, Mykyta's heart was saved!

And yesterday Darina came to the hospital to visit her dear friend and congratulate him on his recovery.

In the photo Mykyta and Daryna. He still can’t run or jump actively, but an active life and sports are no longer a dream. On Friday the family is heading home, where a new, happy childhood begins, free of fear and heart pain.
