The best birthday gift

How a birthday gift can save a life We are so happy that every day we are surrounded by an ever larger number of kind people who are doing everything they can to rescue children with congenital heart defects. We have a new wizard – host of TRK “Ukrainy” – Alexey Sukhanov, who refused gifts for his birthday and urged all friends to save the heart of our ward Vanyusha Chernysh.

Vanya is 6 years old, and like all children, he was preparing to start first grade, but during the school admission commission, doctors diagnosed him with a congenital heart defect—a defect of the interventricular septum. Vanya did not go to school this year. He was given a referral to a boarding school for children with heart defects, but his mother holds onto the hope that after surgery the child will be able to attend a regular school. The operation requires the implantation of a heart device (occluder) and is performed at the Amosov National Institute of Cardiovascular Surgery free of charge. The only cost is purchasing the implant itself, which amounts to an astronomical sum for the family.

But how wonderful it is that there are so many kind and caring people in the world. And the good will and the desire of these caring people have accomplished such a tremendous deed.
