DataHeart: sport for life

DataHeart – a sports‑charity project of the company “Datagroup”. The goal of the project is to involve as many company employees as possible in sports and, together, raise funds for performing surgeries for children with heart defects. According to statistics, in Ukraine almost five thousand children need heart surgery each year. It has also been proven that a timely operation saves a child’s life. In most cases, operated children have a completely healthy heart and can lead a full life: study, engage in creativity and sports, and have their own hobbies. Unfortunately, not every family in Ukraine can afford such an operation. That is why, at the initiative of Datagroup employees, a sports‑charity project was created to help collect funds for children’s surgeries. For each registered training session, the company transfers money to charity.

The goal of the project is to involve as many company employees as possible in sports and together raise funds for performing surgeries for children with heart defects. According to statistics, almost five thousand children in Ukraine need such surgeries each year. It has also been proven that a timely operation helps save a child's life and is successful in 99% of cases. Operated infants, in about 90% of cases, have a completely healthy heart and can lead a full life: engaging in sports, creativity and favorite activities.

But not every family in Ukraine has the financial means to undergo such an operation. “Datagroup”, as a socially responsible company, strives to help children. For all sports training of its employees, the company transferred funds to charity within the project “DataHeart: sport for life!”

The first child we supported with the fundraising campaign was 7‑month‑old Haidash Mariia, who was born with a congenital heart defect – an open arterial duct.

Mariika was born a healthy baby girl, but when she turned three months old, she suddenly began having seizures. The girl was examined and a congenital heart defect was discovered. Mariika has a patent arterial duct, and doctors say it will not close on its own. The only option recommended for the girl is surgery. To avoid traumatizing the little one and to avoid an open‑heart operation, doctors suggest performing the procedure endovascularly, using a special implant (an occluder). However, the occluder must be purchased by the girl's parents at their own expense, and it costs almost 80 000 UAH.

Mariika's dad is temporarily out of work, and her mother is on maternity leave, and they didn't know where to find the money needed for their little girl's treatment.

Thanks to the company Data Group, Mariika underwent a successful implant placement operation and she went home healthy.

Two girls – Snizhany, 6 years old, and Yaryntsi, only 2 years old. They come from different regions of Ukraine, one from Zakarpattia and the other from Kherson. They might never have met if not for a shared misfortune. Both girls were diagnosed with a congenital heart defect – an interatrial septal defect. They both traveled for examination to the Amosov National Institute of Cardiovascular Surgery and each requires urgent endovascular surgery to correct the heart defect.

This year a partially state‑funded program for the purchase of occluders was implemented, and already hundreds of children have received free assistance. Unfortunately, there are not enough implants for everyone.

Two mothers, who by the irony of fate have been left without husbands, and the girls without fathers, cannot on their own purchase occluders that cost 99 831 UAH each. Therefore they have reached out for help to save the hearts of their beloved daughters!

The fourth protégé of the company became nine‑year‑old Nadiia Skupieiko from the urban‑type settlement Zarychne, Rivne region️

Nadiika was born a perfectly healthy baby, but in 2018 the girl began to feel chest pain and also experienced pain in her legs. After examination, doctors diagnosed a congenital heart defect. The girl urgently needed an operation to implant a cardiac occluder, which costs 88 382 UAH. In the Skupieykiv family only the mother works; the father has returned from the ATO zone and is currently registered at the employment center, so finding the amount needed for the operation is extremely difficult, almost impossible, for them. That is why the family has turned to all caring people with a plea to save their daughter’s life.

Thanks to the wonderful initiative from DataGroup, the entire required amount for the heart implant has been secured, and last week a successful operation was performed at the Amosov National Institute of Cardiovascular Surgery ❤️

Nadiika was happy to meet the people who gave her a chance at a healthy life. And the rescuers were glad to personally wish her all the best and simply give her a hug ️

Datagroup saved the life of another child with a congenital heart defect ❤️

Within the sports‑charity project DataHeart, the company “Datagroup” helps children who suffer from a congenital heart defect. The company is raising funds to purchase an occluder (heart implant).

The new protégé of the organization is 13‑year‑old Anastasiia Pryhodiuk from Cherkasy.

In childhood, Nastia often fell ill, and at the age of three, after a lung inflammation, doctors discovered a secondary defect of the atrial septum. Throughout that time, the family underwent regular examinations both in their hometown and in institutes in Kyiv, hoping for a miracle. Unfortunately, the miracle did not come. Nastia needed an operation to install a cardiac implant (occluder), which cost 99 831 UAH. This sum was unaffordable for the girl’s family. Her mother raises her daughter on her own, the father has been stripped of parental rights and does not pay alimony. This family needed help so the child could grow up healthy!

Datagroup came to the rescue, and we’re happy to share a photo report with you, where Nastysia and her mother send greetings to all their rescuers ❤️ The operation to implant a heart device was successful, and the little girl is already home. The hardship is behind her, and she can now live a full, normal life.

The seventh beneficiary was three-year-old Dasha Moiseenko from Chernihiv.

At three months of age, after acute bronchitis, doctors discovered a secondary atrial septal defect. Throughout the whole time the family underwent scheduled examinations both in their hometown and in institutes in Kyiv, hoping for a miracle. Unfortunately, the miracle did not happen. A year ago the diagnosis was confirmed and they were told that surgery was unavoidable. Dasha needed

An urgent operation to implant a heart device (occluder) costing 99 831 UAH. For the girl’s family this sum was unaffordable. The girl’s mother is still on maternity leave and raises her daughter alone, has no contact with the child’s father and receives no assistance from him. Unfortunately, the family does not have their own home. That is why she turned to donors for help.

Thanks to the company “Datagroup”, her life has been saved! The girl successfully underwent surgery at the Amosov National Institute of Cardiovascular Surgery and she sends greetings to everyone!

8 rescued children thanks to a charitable campaign by the company “Datagroup” ️

As part of the sports‑charity project DataHeart, Datagroup supports children living with a congenital heart defect. The company is raising funds to purchase an occluder (cardiac implant).

The new protégé of the foundation became a seven‑year‑old girl, Liza Vysotska, from the city of Cherkasy, who dreams of becoming a famous figure skater. Her parents had never suspected that their daughter might have health problems. During a medical examination before school, doctors discovered a secondary atrial septal defect. This diagnosis was confirmed at the Amosov National Institute of Cardiovascular Surgery. An urgent heart operation to implant a device was needed. However, its cost was 100 000 UAH, a very large sum for the girl’s family. Her father works as a builder, and her mother is a part‑time saleswoman, as she cares for her daughter.

The company “Datagroup” came to the rescue.

Liza successfully had a heart implant installed and she’s already home! Now her dream of becoming a figure skater is very real and can be fulfilled! Most importantly, the girl is healthy and her parents can finally sleep peacefully.

The company “Datagroup” has already saved 9 children with congenital heart defects ❤️

Within the sports‑charity project DataHeart, the company Datagroup supports children who suffer from congenital heart defects. The company is raising funds to purchase heart implants so that, with them, doctors at the Amosov National Institute of Cardiovascular Surgery can perform painless endovascular procedures and correct heart defects.

All the children supported by the project come from low‑income families, and their parents simply don’t have the money to rescue their little ones’ health.

The ninth beneficiary became 14‑year‑old Anastasiia Lazarchyk from the village of Illinka in the Odesa region.

When Anastasiia turned 11, doctors discovered a coarctation of the aorta after an episode of acute bronchitis. Because of her complex and dangerous heart condition, the girl cannot attend school classes, which pushes her dream of mastering foreign languages and becoming a translator further away. Now Nastia is moving toward her goal, refusing to fall into despair despite life’s hardships. She studies diligently at home, teaching herself her beloved English and French. She has a special talent for it and shows exceptional progress! Throughout this time and up to the present, Nastia’s family has kept up with regular examinations, hoping for a miracle and recovery. However, the girl’s condition is worsening—surgery could not be avoided.

Anastasiia greatly needed an operation to install a heart implant costing 118 770 UAH. For the girl’s low‑income family, this sum was astronomical.

But help could come from the company “Datagroup”! And all the necessary funds were raised as part of their sports project.

Anastasiia's operation was successfully performed and now she is already at home!

It’s such a joy that she has a chance for a full, healthy future, where she can fulfill all her dreams, become an international translator, see the world, and simply be like all the other kids!

Datagroup saved 10 children with congenital heart defects

The company's new beneficiary within the sports‑charity project DataHeart is 10‑year‑old Artem Kliuchnyk from the village of Zhabche in the Khmelnytskyi region.

In 2016, after a scheduled examination at the age of 6, a boy was diagnosed with an “open arterial (Patent) ductus arteriosus.” Artem urgently needed heart implant surgery costing almost 80,000 UAH. The surgery itself is free, but the implant had to be purchased out of pocket – an astronomical sum for the boy’s low‑income family.

Artem has been a very active boy since childhood, loving to dance and sing. However, without surgery he was contraindicated for intense sports activities, which stood in the way of achieving his dearest dream – playing football. Artem’s family turned to all caring people for help and support. Our beloved company Datagroup responded to this appeal, raising funds for a heart implant.

Artemchyk successfully underwent surgery and he’s healthy and went home! Now all his dreams can come true, big sports await him, and there’s no need to worry about a faulty heart any longer.
