ATLANT-Ukraine: from heart to heart. 3

A heart defect is a pathological alteration of the organ’s structure that disrupts its proper function. This disease occurs in 6–8 out of every 1,000 newborns and, under certain circumstances, can be fatal. Therefore, the company “ATLANT-Ukraine” has been helping such families and their little ones “be born again” with a new heart for the third year.

Little Kostya is now almost five years old, but it is vital for him to have a special device—an occluder—so that he can develop fully with his peers and bring joy to his parents.

Company ATLANT has been rescuing children with congenital heart defects for the third year in a row.

We met Kostia thanks to a plea letter from his mother Natali. The family, exhausted by treatment of their older son, begged to save the heart of their younger son. The amount for purchasing a cardiac implant, 78 110 UAH, was beyond their means.

In our stories there is always a beautiful and happy ending! Thanks to the project on the Ukrainian Charity Exchange, which the company ATLANT fully closed with collections, Kostia’s little heart has been saved! Today we arrived at the Amosov National Institute of Cardiovascular Surgery to congratulate Kostia on the new stage of his life and wish him all the best. He is such a smart boy! He already can even read and count. Mom said that already in September the little son will go to a preparatory class at school, because he really wants to learn. We are happy that we can watch such wonderful children get a real chance for a healthy and beautiful future. We will always send Kostia beams of love!
